Youth workers at Youthline Wellington come from diverse backgrounds, but they all share a passion for working with young people to support personal growth and development. Our youth workers facilitate either the Youth Development Programme or education visits in schools and community setting throughout the greater Wellington Region.
Youthline Wellington trains, supports and develops it's youth worker volunteers to ensure they are confident and equipped to take on this challenging and rewarding role.
Our summer volunteer intake begins in January 2018, with applications closing on Friday 12 January. The intake consists of a personal development process, and formal training. Youth workers are also given the opportunity to complete a youth work level 3 training programme to give you the necessary skills to effectively and safely support young people.
As a youth worker you will be supported with group supervision, ongoing education and opportunities to get involved in a multitude of areas within our organisation.
